Hemp & Biosolids Field ResearchA 2-year collaborative research project between the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (MWRD) and the University of Illinois Urbana–Champaign (UIUC), using Flura seeds to test industrial hemp grown with MWRD biosolids, running roughly through 2027.
Hemp-Enhanced Poultry Feed Study
Controlled study in laying hens to determine whether hemp seed and hemp seed meal can replace part of the diet at up to ~20% inclusion — maintaining egg production and bird health while significantly enriching eggs in omega-3s and other beneficial fats, improving yolk color and quality, and leaving no detectable THC or CBD residue. The study is expected to be completed in early 2026.
